Sensei Ramon Veras is one of the highest-ranked instructors in the Goju-Ryu karate organization in the United States. He has dedicated over 34 years of his life to practice, competition, and research in the martial arts. In April 1999 he was certified as a 6th degree black belt by Master Eiichi Miyazato, 10th dan in Goju-Ryu karate and founder of the Jundokan Goju-Ryu school of karate.

Because of his interest in technical aspects of martial arts training, Sensei Ramon became a certified personal trainer, with a focus on optimizing preparation for martial arts. This led him to study Tudor Bompa’s Sport Science Training System and become representative of the Bompa system in the USA.

The Pan-American Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-do (POGKF) was established to train Goju-Ryu karate instructors in the Americas in the technical, physical, and spiritual aspects of martial arts training. Today Sensei Ramon supports schools in Panama, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Venezuela, Canada, Angola, Mexico, and the United States. As a Technical Director of POGKF, Sensei Ramon teaches karate seminars internationally (USA, Mexico, Dominical Republic, Panama, Angola, and Puerto Rico).

Sensei Ramon is an accomplished competitor with several national and international titles. His students include many champions at the State, National, and International levels.
