Carlo Buzzichelli

Carlo Buzzichelli is a professional personal
trainer and strength & conditioning coach. His athletic
background includes track & field, martial arts, motor sports,
soccer and kayaking. Carlo began weight training in 1990. Since
starting his career as a fitness trainer in 1995, he has attended
numerous seminars and courses in the constant pursuit of getting the
latest information in regards to strength training, sport conditioning
and nutrition. He has also completed many top-level national and
international certifications, including the PERIODIZATION: PLANNING
SPECIALIST certification under the TUDOR BOMPA INSTITUTE.
Over the last 8 years, Carlo has been
working with several top track & field athletes, US high school
track teams, pro and semi-pro soccer teams from Italy, swimming teams,
martial artists and volley teams. Carlo was also an accredited sprint
coach at the 2002 Commonwealth Games as well as at the 2003 T&F
World Championship. In fact, many of his athletes are National or
International medallists in their events.
Carlo is also a lecturer and a writer, his
articles on strength training for sports are published on the Italian
fitness magazine Olympian's News, he regularly lecture at major
Conventions and he is a guest teacher for the Natural Bodybuilding
Federation of Italy.
Founder of the Tudor Bompa Institute -
Italy, Carlo aims at forming a network of professional personal
trainers and high-level strength & conditioning coaches that
pursue the diffusion of applied exercise science. In fact, in his
opinion, a scientific and periodized approach to training is the only
mean for the drug-free athlete to achieve a higher performance than
those using illegal drugs.
