1. Multiple-Choice, True/False and
Short Answer Exam
The exam consists of 40 questions on the following topics: Applied
muscle physiology, Variables of training Exercise selection,
Program design, Planning and Periodization. Once you have signed up for
the course, an exam will be sent to you. The
questions will be derived from the course textbook (Periodization:
Theory & Methodology of Training).
2. Practical Knowledge Assignments
The first part challenges your knowledge on planning for the
preparatory, competitive and transition phases for individual and team
sports. The second part requires you to design microcycles for a sport
or client situation of your choice. Use this practical section to
design a program for a real-life situation. Whether it’s an
individual client you currently train or a sport in which you wish to
be a strength coach, use your intelligence and creativity to create a
personal tool to enhance your career.
3. Annual Plan
This section puts a final stamp on your planning knowledge. You must
successfully create an annual plan for a given sport. You will be
graded on your accuracy, creativity and ingenuity as a "Planning
Specialist." You will be expected to quantify and qualify the
ergogenesis of the sport along with parameters such as volume,
intensity, regeneration and physical/technical/tactical/psychological
preparation. This portion of the testing procedure is for quality
assurance. It allows our experts to evaluate how you put all the pieces
together. The maximum time allowed to complete this exam is 6 months.
