PTPS COURSE (NEW)
This certification is designed for certified
personal trainers who wish to set themselves apart by enhancing their
knowledge and skills. As a PTPS you will exhibit expertise in
short-term and long-term fitness planning enabling you to clearly
define a structured plan of action to achieve the specific goals of any
client.
Prerequisites: Provide documented proof of: Bachelors Degree/Diploma
from an accredited institution (or must be currently enrolled) Personal
trainers' certification (i.e. A.C.E. / C.P.T.N./CanFit Pro etc.)

Testing Information
To successfully obtain the PTPS certification, you must achieve 70% or
more on all testing components.
1. Take Home Exam
The multiple-choice exam consists of 50 questions on the following
topics:
a) Applied muscle physiology
b) Variables of training
c) Exercise selection
d) Program design
e) Planning
Once you have signed up for the course, an exam will be mailed
to you. Half of the questions will be derived from the course
textbook Periodization Training For Sports 2.nd edition. and
the other half will come from the course manual.
2. Practical Knowledge Assignment
This assignment allows you to apply all of your planning and
periodization knowledge.
